12 family adventures - intro pages 12-15 family family adventures FIN FMA FNB FEA 10 nights 14 nights 18 nights 16 nights New Delhi to Delhi Marrakech to M'kech Vic Falls to Windhoek Nairobi to Dar p13 p15 p15 p15 Our family trips have been designed to appeal to children as well as adults. They are open to all families with kids and teenagers aged 7 to 18. Think of this as your alternative to the annual ski holiday. Yes, the neighbours may have been to Val d'Isere but they won't have taken the kids camping in the Serengeti, (yes, our first family ever were the Jones'). We combine excitement, relaxation, learning and fun. They are active trips and an essential element is meeting the local people, whether it is a football match with Namibian children, visiting a local school or meeting the indigenous people of Rajasthan. We visit countries as a whole, rather than just the sanitised tourist sites. There may be a couple of long day drives, which are all part of the fun, as you will be travelling through extraordinary areas of the world. Every day will be different, with different challenges and excitement. kenya & uganda - nairobi to kampala is this trip for me? Following a successful Director's Guinea Pig Trip in August 2006, we have decided to add on a unique itinerary. It combines the amazing wildlife migration of the Masai Mara with the undeveloped parks of Uganda. In QE11 NP we saw leopard, elephant, buffallo and lion. In Kibale Forest we trekked through tropical jungles to find chimps. At Jinja, we white-water rafted the White Nile and rode quad bikes through local villages. We visited local schools and trekked in the stunning hills of Western Uganda. To this we will add a three night break on the beaches of Kenya and the famed Lunatic Express from Mombasa to Nairobi. This trip is ideal for second timers. Some rough roads and remote areas, but Uganda is a pearl (Churchill's words), really friendly and loved by kids and adults alike. Our favourite trip yet.
