Trek America, a specialist North American camping operator, runs our trips in the USA and Canada. They have been running this sort of small group camping adventures in North America for 31 years. Their trips are run slightly differently than our own.

An easy trip with excellent facilities, long distances but good roads. Loads of outdoor activities and trekking. Rating: Moderate. Crew: 1 Trek America tour leader. These are selected for their ability to deal with people and their willingness to be a team player. They have to comply with all US Government requirements for professional drivers and are submitted to intense training under the guidelines of the Trek America tour guide manual. Group: Maximum of 13 passengers. Vehicle: Trek America use Dodge Maxi wagons, and consider that they have the largest, most modern and best-maintained fleet of vehicles of this kind in North America. The vehicles are equipped with a powerful engine, air-conditioning and seat 14 passengers including the tour guide. The vehicles also have radio/cassette and/or CD player. Because most of this trip is in the USA or Canada there is no need for a fridge, but there is an ice box on board. Likewise, North America is a much safer destination on the whole than the other continents that we operate in and so we do not have a safe on board. The luggage is stowed on the roof rack and protected by a tarp. Trek America provide you with everything you need for camping and use high quality equipment. Accommodation: 90% camping, 10% hotels. Western style campsites with some wildcamps. Local Payment: Trek America run a local payment system for this trip. The tour price is split into two parts; brochure price, and local price. The brochure price is paid to Dragoman Overland or your travel agent before departure but the local price is taken with you and paid to the tour leader upon arrival. The local payment is used to pay on road expenses, and also to fund a small group food kitty.

Week 1: USA: · Overland from Anchorage via the Seward Glacier for a day trip into Denali NP · North to the Arctic Circle to see the midnight sun and on to the city of Fairbanks Week 2: Canada & the Yukon: · Guided trip around the gold rush town of Dawson City · Journey through the wilds of the Yukon to Whitehorse and visit the SS Klondike steamboat · Overland to the beautiful Teslin Lake Week 3: Southern Alaska & Canada's Rocky Mountains: · Side trip back into southern Alaska to Bear Glacier, hopefully to see grizzlies fishing · Visit to indigenous native settlements near Ksan · Overland through the stunning Rockies along the Ice Highway from Jasper to Banff Week 4: Canada & Northern states of USA: · From the city of Calgary visit the outrageous Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump museum · Back into the wilds to Waterton NP and cross to Montana's Glacier NPs · Explore Yellowstone and Grand Tetons NP Week 5: Utah & Arizona: · Head to Salt Lake City for time to explore this historic Mormon city and its amazing Tabernacle · National Park exploration time, with time in Arches, Canyon Land and Bryce NPs · Visit to the Navajo nation in Monument Valley Week 6: Nevada & Arizona: · Blow out time in Nevada's sin city of Las Vegas · Up to the world's largest and most spectacular canyon, the Grand Canyon · Overland south through the deserts of Arizona to infamous Tombstone Week 7: Mexico: · Head to the coast and to the town of Mazatlan · Tequila time at the distillery in the town of Tequila · Visit to the surreal landscape around Paricutin Volcano · Overland via the traditional Mexican town of Patzcuaro to Mexico City

· Boat trips out around Seward glacier · Take a trip out by glacier vehicle on the Coloumbia icefields · Trek or ride out into the Rockies from Jasper or Banff · Bike, hike, raft or ride in Utah, Nevada and Arizona national parks · Trek or ride over the lava flows of the Paricutin Volcano to a lava engulfed village
