A fantastic opportunity to see one of the marvels of the natural world. The excellent combination of guided land based excursions and snorkelling mean that you really do get an in depth exploration of this incredible place. Rating: Easy. Crew: Local crew of 6-8, including captain, multilingual naturalist guide, cook, mechanic, mate, bartender. Vehicle: Tourist class/Tourist superior/first class motor boat, panga, aeroplane. Accommodation: Shared cabins with private bathrooms and air conditioning. The tour is full board. You will not be escorted by a Dragoman Overland crew member. Notes: National park fee US$100 (subject to local inflation) to be paid locally.

all boats
Are fully certified and have comprehensive navigation and safety equipment. This includes lifejackets and liferafts, radar, GPS, beacon radio and fire system. Boats also have snorkelling equipment, dinghies, 2 engines, diesel generators and large fresh water tanks.

Day 1: · Early flight from Quito to Baltra · Sail to Las Bachas beach, marine iguanas, turtle nest site, flamingos Day 2: · Plaza Island, sea lions, land iguanas, cactus trees, terns, gulls and boobies · Santa Fe Island, giant cacti, land iguanas, doves, hawks, reef sharks Day 3: · Espanola Island, many indigineous species mockingbirds, lava lizards, marine iguanas. · Explore cliff tops of Espanola with albatross and boobies · Relax on the spectacular beach at Gardner Bay on Espanola Day 4: · Explore Punta Cormorant on Floreana with its coloured beaches, mangroves and flamingos · Snorkel around the Devil's Crown with its beautiful coral reefs · Send a postcard from Post Office Bay and if time explore the lava tubes Day 5: · Visit to the Darwin Research Station, view the giant tortoises and hatchlings · 5 day passengers will have a shorter, early morning visit to the Darwin Research Station before transfer to Baltra and flight to Quito · Explore the Santa Cruz Highlands with its old volcanic cones and woodlands · Opt. exploration of lava tunnels and visit to giant tortoises in their natural habitat on Santa Cruz Day 6: · Visit beautiful Rabida with its russet sand, saline lagoon, pelicans, boobies and sea lions · Explore Island Santiago with its amazing lava formations and many pools and crevices Day 7: · Wander the beautiful beach at Bartolome, inhabited by rays and sharks · Hike to the summit of Bartolome for stunning views of the islands around · Snorkel around the reefs and rocks beneath Pinnacle Rock Day 8: · Explore the fantastic birdlife of North Seymour with its blue footed boobies and frigate birds (Rumba itinerary visits Black Turtle Cove instead of North Seymour) · Transfer from boat to Baltra airport and flight to Quito
