If you've got a month to spare, you can experience in-depth the very best of East and Southern Africa. For the wildlife lovers we take you through the waving grasslands of the Masai Mara, the plains of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. But how about canoeing down the Zambezi Valley, surrounded by elephants and camping on river islands away from all the tourists. Rather than driving directly down the tarmac road from Malawi to Vic Falls, we meander off to South Luangwa National Park and the Lower Zambezi Wildlife Area. Add in the relaxation of the beaches of Lake Malawi, the white sands of the Indian Ocean and Zanzibar, the adrenaline rushes at Victoria Falls and you get the idea that this itinerary will need to take 28 days rather than the more usual 20 or 22 days offered by many others.
