RIDE PROFILE Avg. daily distance: 35 km (22 miles) No. of days cycling: 5 Vehicle support: 60%. Vehicle will take us up to start points on most days, although limited support during the rides. Terrain and route: 95% off road. A mixture of tracks and trails with fast descents, some climbing. Some off road experience advisable but not essential. TRIP DETAILS Group: min. 8, max. 14, plus leader and drivers. Accommodation: 6 nights 2 star hotels, some with pools, 1 night village house. Food: all breakfasts, 5 lunches and 2 dinners included.
A Mediterranean biking adventure, through the mountains and forests of the sunny Turquoise Coast

great introduction to mountain biking or a relaxing break for the more experienced rider. Every day has a downhill bias of 1000m or more, all with a stunning backdrop of mountains, canyons, cedar forests and the ruins of ancient civilisations. En route there's time for picnics, swimming stops and the chance to experience the famous hospitality of Turkish village life. Our last four nights are based in the lively port town of Kas excellent for après-biking entertainment. With a free day, adrenalin junkies can finish the week with optional paragliding, scuba diving, or kayaking over sunken cities. Alternatively simply relax next to the Mediterranean.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Dalaman; transfer to Elmali. 2 Start high up on the Elmali plains and ride the beautiful Dokuz Goz (nine lakes) trail to Arif where we stay in a village house. 3 Following The Sulun Valley to the ruins of Arycanda. 1500m descent past Ottoman ruins and through villages to Kas, our base for the next five nights. 4 Ride the sweeping Sogutcuma forest trail with 1200m descent. Travel through Kuzdere Canyon and descend into the Alakir Valley. Follow river path to ruins of Kitanaura and on to valley floor and coastal road to Kas.

5 Seyret trail through ancient cedar forests with coastal views of Kas; 1500m descent. 6 Free day in Kas for optional activities, for example SCUBA diving, sea kayaking or tandem paragliding. 7 Sutlegen flyer 1200m. Transfer to village of Assas, ride up into the cedar forest and follow trails traversing the wooded valley, some long fast descents and a few shorter climbs. 8 Transfer to Dalaman, fly to London.
