Superb uncrowded mountain biking in Europes hippest new outdoor playground
eave the crowds to fight over the bike trails in the French Alps and head out to Slovenia. The jagged limestone peaks of the Julian Alps holds some of Europes most dramatic scenery, as well as an enormous network of challenging and exciting bike trails. Although mountain biking is developing quickly here, the incredible riding has yet to be properly discovered by any but the local riders. Our base for the week is the village of Gozd-Martuljek, on the edge of the Triglav National Park, right in the heart of the mountains. From here we will cover a wide area, with a fantastic range of scenery and different riding conditions. As well as visiting the famous lakes of Bled and Bohinj, other highlights include underground biking in the tunnels of a disused mine, and an afternoon at the ski resort of Kranjska Gora with its superb mountain bike park. During the week youll experience the very best of Slovenias trails, as our fully qualified guides share their favourite rides with you.
