Europe I Spain & Italy 38 Horse Riding in Andalucia Spain 7 days Horse Riding in the Alps Italy 7 days Col de Bousson A wonderful week of horse riding in the heart of rural Andalucia We spend the week at a charming, self-sufficient working hill farm of sweet chestnut, cork and olives, set in its own secluded valley in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena. Each day, after your horse is prepared for you, we ride through beautiful flower-filled valleys, along quiet forested paths and across stunning sierras with breathtaking views. We stop off at various small villages enjoy a leisurely lunch or evening apéritif. In the evening, a delicious home cooked dinner will be served using mostly ingredients produced on the farm. Extra accommodation is available in the atmospheric city of Seville - please ask our sales team for details. Profile: average 4 hours riding each day. You should be comfortable riding outdoors at all paces. Fit but 'rusty' riders are fine. We use Andaluz-cross horses bred and broken on the farm with comfortable vaquero tack. All riding is optional. Grade: moderate. Group: min. 1, max. 8, plus leader and appropriate local staff. Min. age 18. Accommodation: 6 nights farmhouse cottage. Food: all meals included, wine and liqueurs with dinner at the farm. A unique opportunity to ride through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Italian and French Alps Our adventure begins in the border village of Claviere in the beautiful Susa Valley, which is known as Monti Della Luna (Mountains of the Moon). We ride through the French and Italian Alps, enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the way, and explore ancient mountain villages while travelling how our ancestors used to travel on a horse. During this exciting and varied week, we see rolling hills covered with a multitude of wild flowers, picturesque mountain lakes and beautiful larch and pine forests. We spend the majority of the week in a locally-owned hotel which has delicious locallyproduced organic food. We take a short excursion to traditional French hamlet, which is for many a truly wonderful experience. Profile: average 4 to 6 hours riding each day. Confident novice riders who can walk and trot are welcome, as we will have 2 guides for most of the trip. We use Spanish or Argentinean horses and either English trekking or western saddles. Each day your horse will be prepared for you but you are welcome to help. Grade: moderate. Group: min. 4, max. 8, plus leader, equestrian guide and appropriate local staff. Min. age 18. Accommodation: 6 nights comfortable hotel. Food: all meals included except one dinner and lunch on the last day.
