In identifying the right trip for you it's important to consider who you want to travel with: a like minded group of strangers, your own group or a select few close friends or family.

The majority of our trips are adult group holidays. Groups are small in size, with an average of 11-12 people, helping to maintain the integrity of the more remote places on our itineraries. Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with couples, singles and friends all joining in together. Just over half our clients are female and although the average age is 43, we usually have many younger and older clients in every group. For those not travelling with a partner or friend(s), all these departures are available to single travellers. Travelling on your own is not only possible, it's encouraged and very much a feature of our group holidays. Almost half our clients travel this way. Small group holidays provide a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people to share your travel experiences with. You won't be expected to pay a supplement as we will room you with a fellow traveller of the same sex, and occasionally you may end up with your own room. If you prefer, guaranteed single accommodation is available on most trips at a very reasonable extra charge. Well over 200 adult group adventures are listed throughout this brochure, discovering all seven continents. We explore regions as diverse as the Arctic and Amazon Jungle, investigate vibrant cultures, wonder at amazing wildlife and delve into the intriguing history of ancient civilisations. For descriptions of some of the activities and experiences available on these trips please refer to pages 12-15. All trips throughout this brochure are Adult Group holidays, except where indicated otherwise.
If you have ever dreamt of watching wildlife in the Masai Mara, visiting Machu Picchu or trekking in Nepal in the company of a few close friends or family, these are the trips for you. We offer many of our holidays to small private groups or couples. The itineraries are usually the same as one of our group holidays, but we operate them for a minimum of two people. Please note all Independent Trips are subject to availability - it is therefore strongly recommended that you plan any Independent Trip as early as possible. Our groups department can offer the vast majority of the featured itineraries in this brochure as private departures, and in many cases, there is flexibility on the dates to fit in with your travel plans. We usually require a minimum of 6 to constitute a group and everything that is included in the normal package price will be included: flights (if required), accommodation, transfers and the services of leaders and local staff. Our group sales department would be happy to meet with your group to discuss any aspect of your proposed trip. Group organisers have found this very useful as we can answer all your questions in one evening and will happily do a presentation on your destination.
