he real beginnings of southern Italy are found in this sought-after region of natural and historic delights, which the Romans rightly named the 'happy land' (felix ager). Home to the legendary pizza, the fascinating city of Naples is close to the stunning sites of Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii. Across the Sorrento Peninsula is the Amalfi Coast, one of the most dramatic and beautiful coastlines in Europe, with its towering cliffs, picturesque coves and delightful towns. From our comfortable family-run hotel on the beach of Marina del Cantone, we can easily visit the famous island of Capri. There is, of course, plenty of time to visit romantic Ravello and partake in traditional Amalfi pastimes of sampling the wonderful food and wine as well as enjoying the Mediterranean climate.

Day 1 Start at hotel in Naples. 2 Explore the vibrant city of
Naples on foot; finish with the national treasure an authentic pizza! 3 Visit the fascinating ruins of Pompeii and take a walk up Mount Vesuvius; to Marina del Cantone. 4 Take boat to Capri for day; optional chairlift to the best views or visit the Blue Grotto.
