Borneo  Orang-utans & Turtles Borneo Orang-utans & Turtles Group Trip 14 Days * Magical wildlife, scenery and beaches * Visit the enchanted Turtle Island Park where turtles nest year round * Visit Sepilok Orang-utan Centre * Relax on a tropical island beach iscover Borneo's enchanting combination of unique wildlife, mysterious jungles and white beaches. Visit the oldest rainforests in the world, with their rich diversity of wildlife including the orang-utan, Asian elephant and proboscis monkey. From ancient rainforests to tropical islands, we'll see turtles in their natural environment, bathe in mud volcanoes and snorkel coral reefs in warm waters. We will also visit Gomantong Caves, where thousands of bats live, and spend time whitewater rafting and playing on a high ropes course. There will also be an opportunity to experience the local culture with a visit to a rural market and an evening of tribal dancing. The Itinerary Day 1 Depart London on overnight flight via Kuala Lumpur. 2 Arrive Kota Kinabalu. Rest and recuperate by the pool/beach. 3 Free day, with optional visit to nearby adventure park with gokarting, ropes course and climbing wall. 4 Morning fly to Sandakan and transfer by boat to Turtle Island, where we hope to see turtles nesting. 5 Return to mainland and visit Sepilok Orang-utan Centre. Afternoon river cruise to wildlife lodge. Optional night safari today or tomorrow. 6 Morning visit Gomantong Caves, home to over a million swiftlets. Afternoon wildlife cruise. 7 Return to Sandakan by boat and drive to tea plantation for 2 nights in a traditional longhouse. 8 A fun day of jungle walks, informative talks, and an evening of tribal dancing. 9 Back to Kota Kinabalu. Afternoon white-water rafting/ tubing. 10 Morning transfer to a tropical island. Free day to relax and explore the beautiful beaches. 11/12 Two full days to unwind on the beach, and enjoy optional excursions such as snorkelling and kayaking. 13 Morning return to Kota Kinabalu.
