uba's lively capital Havana is the largest in the Caribbean and where our adventure begins. The city is bursting with energy, and we explore this living museum with its fantastic collection of monuments, cathedrals and palaces. Heading away from Havana, we sample more of the island's attractions; from revolutionary history at Che Guevara's Mausoleum, a catamaran trip with the opportunity to go snorkelling in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea, to an (optional) authentic salsa lesson in Trinidad! In contrast we venture into Cuba's most stunning national park - Topes de Collantes - home to the Cuban national bird, the Tocoro, which we hope to spot during our gentle walk. A relaxing stay on Cuba's beautiful beaches brings our journey to a close.

Flights direct with Virgin Atlantic. Accommodation 14 nights comfortable hotels. Swimming all hotels have pools. Transport private A/C minibus, catamaran and steam train. The Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Havana. 2 Guided
city tour of Havana; free time at Museum of the Revolution and Gran Teatro. 3 To crocodile farm; speedboat to Guama. 4 Free time on beach; on to Cienfuegos and then Trinidad. 5 City tour of Trinidad, a World Heritage Site; optional salsa lesson and chance to experience local music venue. 6 Board catamaran at El Ancon; snorkel over coral reef then enjoy a fresh seafood lunch. 7 Truck safari in Topes de Collantes; walk through coffee plantations and glimpse the birdlife; visit waterfall and caves. 8 A nature trail to see frogs, birds and plants; afternoon free to explore small town with local handicrafts. 9 Explore rural farming region; free afternoon to swim in lake and see flamingos. 10 Visit working sugar mill; steam train ride; drive to Santa Clara; afternoon free to relax at hotel pool. 11 Sightseeing in Santa Clara including mausoleum and monument to Che Guevara; free time to soak up atmosphere of this unique city; later transfer to Varadero. 12/13/14 Three days to relax on Cuba's wonderful Caribbean coastline or by the pool; afternoon head back to Havana. 15 Relax in Havana, last-minute sightseeing or shopping; Evening depart. 16 Arrive London.

TRIP TRIVIA
Cuban tree frogs are the largest species found in North America and vary their colour from dark green to pale grey to match their environment. These frogs will eat almost anything they can fit into their mouths, including other frogs!
