estling at the mouth of the valley - and close to the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck, is the adventure village of Ötz, a true Austrian mountain retreat. The Nature Resort and Activity Centre is perfectly located for easy access to the two local rivers with some of the best white water in Europe, alpine meadows and mountains for walking and climbing, and valley paths and lakes for biking, swimming and relaxing. Activities are offered for a broad range of ages, abilities and adrenalin levels.

This beautiful resort is an idyllic setting for an Austrian summer holiday. Accommodation is in wooden chalets, built to a high standard using traditional methods. There are one and two bedroom apartments (depending on size of family), with a maximum of 6 beds, all bedrooms with their own shower/wc and a separate kitchen/diner. Each apartment has a small, sheltered terrace or balcony, opening out onto the resort's central garden. Breakfast is taken in the resort's "Achstuberl" restaurant, which provides Austrian-style continental breakfasts and typical Tyrolean and Austrian cuisine at lunch or in the evenings, should it be required.
TRIP TRIVIA
Andreas Hofer was leader of the Austrian rebellion against Napoleon in the early 1800's, and is now a popular folk hero and martyr. Hofer was a native of Tyrol and a bronze statue in his honour can be found at Bergisel in Innsbruck, capital of the province in which he was born.
