CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING NEW TO CROSS-COUNTRY? O ur range of cross-country skiing holidays is built on the success of Waymark's award-winning cross-country programme - winners of the Cross-country skis are generally longer and lighter than alpine skis, with bindings that let you lift your heel. Most skiing is undertaken on prepared tracks (loipe) and takes place in the relatively flat valley bottoms, or on high altitude plateaux. Many newcomers imagine that you need to be super-fit to take up crosscountry. While fitness helps, a sense of balance and a reasonable amount of coordination are what really counts in making the learning process a pleasure and not a bind. Most people find that by day 2 or 3 they are gliding and stopping with ease. Guardian Observer Travel Awards for Best Ski Company in 2002, 2003, and 2006. By joining forces with Waymark, Exodus are now pleased to bring you an unrivalled expertise and variety in the art of Nordic skiing.
