Spain " Morocco Journey into Barbary 14 DAYS HOTELS/COUNTRY GITE ADVENTURE ACROSS THE STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR This exciting family adventure offers a whole variety of activities for all to enjoy. In Andalucia we explore whitewashed hill villages shaped by the Moors; in Gibraltar well come across Barbary apes and awesome caves. Well search for dolphins and whales in the Strait of Gibraltar one of the best places in Europe to track their migration between the warm waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Across in Africa, two of the fabulous ancient Royal Cities of Morocco Fes and Marrakech provide a vibrant feast for the senses. ALL ABOARD THE ANDALUCIA EXPRESS! Beginning in Malaga, we leave Spains most famous costa behind and board the Andalucia Express for a journey through the spectacular El Chorro gorge. Emerging in a world of sleepy whitewashed villages, we pause to explore Ronda, one of the original pueblos blancos. Perched dramatically on a cliff top, it is home to Spains oldest bullring and an impressive Roman bridge. We then head for the Med and reach Fes Tanneries/Peter Eshelby El Tajo Gorge, Ronda Ref FJB DATES & PRICES IN £ 14 Days from London 2008 Sun to Sat Flight Incl Adult Child* 06 Apr-19 Apr 999 939 27 Jul-09 Aug 1049 989 03 Aug-16 Aug 1049 989 10 Aug-23 Aug 1049 989 17 Aug-30 Aug 1049 989 19 Oct-01 Nov 999 939 2009 Sun to Sat Flight Incl Adult Child* 05 Apr-18 Apr 1039 979 26 Jul-08 Aug 1079 1019 02 Aug-15 Aug 1079 1019 09 Aug-22 Aug 1079 1019 16 Aug-29 Aug 1079 1019 Land Adult 749 799 799 799 799 749 Land Adult 779 839 839 839 839 FJB Only Child* 689 739 739 739 739 689 Only Child* 719 779 779 779 779 T the Rock of Gibraltar to explore its caves, fortified tunnels and to mingle with Barbary apes. WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS FROM TARIFA Our base on the shores of the Med is Tarifa, a small fishing town. Unlike many other places along the coast in southern Spain, it still has a laidback, small town atmosphere with cobblestone streets and some great fish restaurants. It is also an excellent base from which to join boat excursions, looking out for whales and dolphins towards the Moroccan coast a mere 14 km away. Around Tarifa there are also some superb beaches and coastal walks. Leaving Spain, we cross the Strait of Gibraltar on the Tarifa to Tangier ferry to arrive in a land that is very different, yet shares a common history. Marrakech to spend two nights in what is surely one of the worlds most evocative cities. The animated Djemma-el-Fna Square is the Heart of Morocco, the focal point where Berbers and Arabs come to exchange news, enjoy the street perfomers, haggle and trade in jelabahs, carpets and spices.
