As the day draws to a close, relax in the cool and fragrant evening air or maybe catch a performance of classic Balinese dance. BEACHES & DOLPHINS Journeying through a rich and fertile landscape across the island's high central plateau, we reach the village of Munduk where we stay in stilted chalets and can try our hand at the art of Balinese cooking. Then it's off to the beach at Lovina, where we've plenty of time to relax on the black volcanic sands and swim or perhaps snorkel the offshore reef in warm, azure seas. Dolphins can be spotted here and we take a boat to look for them. At the end of the day, you can enjoy some fine seafood and spectacular sunsets. entire east of the island. Joining local pilgrims, we pay a visit to the renowned Hindu Besakih temple high on its slopes. Later we can cool down at the Tirtaganga water palace. Built by the last king of Karangasem, this complex of pools, moats and fountains is set in shady gardens. Our final nights are spent back on the coast, for a further chance to enjoy the warm seas of this tropical paradise.
