It's also a great place to discover something of rural life; we take a walk through nearby villages and plan to pay a visit to the local school. Rafting & Trekking The Trisuli is one of Nepal's most popular white-water rafting rivers and we've the chance to take an exhilarating trip (optional) to our hotel at Kurintar on the river banks. We also make a mini trek through fields and villages to an overnight camp with outstanding views of some of the world's highest peaks. On a clear night the sky sparkles with millions of stars; a magical experience. Back in charming Pokhara, on the shores of Lake Phewa and a popular chill-out place for trekkers; we've time to take a boat out on the lake, hire a bike or even eat a pizza  Nepali style! Chitwan Jungle Adventures Travelling through the foothills we head to Chitwan National Park, famous for its one-horned rhino and Bengal tigers. We've a number of treats in store including a dugout canoe trip, jungle walks, elephant back safari and, provided it's not too cold, joining the elephants for their daily bath! In the evening the local Tharu villagers visit our lodge to perform traditional dances  we're most welcome to join in. Finally it's back to Kathmandu where the excellent shops of Thamel await and you can choose to take a flight (optional) for some close-up views of awesome Mount Everest.
