Welcome to the polar bear season in Northern Canada! For those who wish to get close to these magnificent creatures, undoubtedly one of the best ways is from a Tundra Buggy®. These special vehicles are renowned for offering simply unique polar bear viewing and photographic opportunities. Other vehicles, such as Tundra Busses, are not allowed to go out on the tundra where the bears congregate. Our guides have a keen interest in the conservation and are specialists in the field and with time also included in Winnipeg and Churchill, this short break combines history, culture and bear watching a truly unforgettable experience! We travel in responsible way too our local operator in Churchill recently received the Travel Manitoba Sustainable Tourism Award for their commitment to conservation. Polar Bears From our comfortable hotel in Churchill, we will enjoy 2 full days in Tundra Buggies for close-up viewing of the magnificent polar bears. The polar bears gather here in October and November each year, waiting for the Hudson Bay to freeze over so they can cross the ice to begin hunting for their favourite meal ringed seal. From the safety of our buggy we will see polar bears playing, fighting, feeding and living their daily lives. Expert guides accompany us throughout the trip and take us on the daily Tundra Buggy excursions their enthusiasm will bring us a greater appreciation of these intelligent and yet fearsome mammals. Winnipeg & Churchill In addition to the obvious highlights of viewing the polar bears, this trip also includes a wide variety of other activities. On arrival in Churchill we will take a tour of this historic town and Churchill Polar Bears

In the afternoon we will visit the fascinating Parks Interpretive Centre for an insight into the natural history of this remote northern region before flying back to Winnipeg for our final evening.
