INSURE WITH EXPLORE
PEACE OF MIND ON TOUR Having adequate travel insurance is mandatory for anyone participating in an Explore tour. We believe the policy we offer is the best available for our type of holiday. THE CHOICE IS YOURS You can choose between a European or Worldwide single trip policy from 8 to 60 days, or an annual multi-trip policy which covers all your (and your family's) travel insurance needs for a whole year children are included free on our annual policy. COMPETITIVE PREMIUMS Given the level of cover provided by our policies we really do feel they offer exceptional value. As the insurance market becomes more competitive, many companies are cutting the levels of cover and benefits in order to keep premiums down. We have retained all the benefits for 2008. LEADING ADVENTURE TRAVEL COVER The Explore travel insurance has been designed specifically for the adventurous traveller. All sporting or hazardous activities you may plan to undertake whilst on holiday will automatically be covered other than Parachuting, Sky-diving, Hang-gliding, Microlite Flying, Ski Racing, Ski Jumping, Ice Hockey & Bob Sleighing. For any other holiday activity not specifically excluded you will automatically be covered, whether the activity in question has been arranged through Explore or not, subject to the standard policy terms and conditions. These are the best policies available for the active traveller, especially those travelling away from mainstream tourist destinations. COVER FOR ALL AGES Explore customers of all ages can purchase our single trip policies there are no upper or lower age limits. Annual policies however are not available to those aged 66 or over at the time of purchase. NO QUIBBLE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE Should you purchase one of our insurance policies, then feel that it does not entirely suit your requirements, a full refund may be obtained up to 14 days from the date of receiving the policy document so long as no claims have been made and no period of travel has started. EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS Very few other policies cover medical and repatriation expenses up to £5m, personal liability to £2m or cancellation and curtailment to £5000 per person. We believe these are levels of cover that should be in place to cover the `worst case scenario' relating to overseas travel of this sort. The policy also provides hi-jack cover One of the unique features of the Explore travel policy is that we have arranged cover in respect of acts of war and terrorism. Although this is an unpalatable matter, in the light of recent global events, we consider such cover to be invaluable. The policy also includes cover for loss of or damage to personal luggage or effects and money. See box on right for a summary of the main benefits. TRULY WORLDWIDE POLICY Our single trip policy is available to anyone who purchases it directly from Explore irrespective of where they live in the world. Should you need to be repatriated, you would be returned to your home country. UNRIVALLED EMERGENCY BACK-UP Ultimately the most important thing about an insurance policy is that it delivers when an emergency occurs. At Explore we have been involved in many different types of claim over the years, including those involving the repatriation of customers who have become injured or ill in some of the most remote parts of the world. What we rely on time and time again is the unrivalled experience and knowledge of the emergency back-up team which deals with these situations. EXPLORE TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY NOTES & CONDITIONS: Insurance mandatory It is worth reiterating that all Explore customers must have adequate travel insurance when travelling on our tours. If you do not have Explore insurance your tour leader will need to check your own insurance documentation at the start of the tour. Please see the section on `Travel Insurance' on p15. Pre-existing medical conditions It is a pre-requisite of any travel insurance policy (including the Explore policy) that you inform the insurance company of any preexisting medical conditions relating to you
