Aboard our privatel chartered Nile riverboat we absorb the traditional way of life along the river and stop to see the great temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek. Exploring Aswan Arriving in Aswan, you can shop in the bazaar or take trips into the desert  perhaps visiting the famous rock-cut temple of Abu Simbel or joining a camel trek across the desert to the abandoned Monastery of St Simeon. Finally, we return to Luxor. Great Antiquities Cairo is a hectic city with plenty of atmosphere to interest the traveller, from the bustling bazaars to the skyline of mosques whose call to prayer rings out across the city. We'll visit the Pyramids and Sphinx and of course see the exquisite collection of artefacts in the Egyptian museum. Aboard our Riverboat Travelling along the Nile Valley by train, we reach Luxor - a town almost as ancient as time itself. Here we make a donkey trek to the Valley of the Kings and visit Karnak's FACTFILE Itinerary Day 1 Fly London/Cairo. 2 In Cairo, visit Pyramids, Sphinx and Museum. 3 Train to Luxor; board Nile riverboat. 4 In Luxor; by calesh to Karnak Temple. 5 Donkey trek to the Valley of the Kings; sail Edfu via Esna lock. 6 Visit Edfu Temple; sail Kom Ombo and Aswan. 7 In Aswan; optional camel trek to St Simeons Monastery. 8 In Aswan; optional visit to Abu Simbel. 9 Train to Luxor. 10 Fly London.
