Skaftafell & Lake Myvatn The wild Skaftafell region is great walking country. You can follow marked paths to Svartifoss (Black Waterfall), which cascades over pillars of dark basalt. One highlight is an exhilarating boat trip on an ice-filled glacial lagoon. Driving via the spectacular Dettifoss Falls to Lake Myvatn a paradise for birdwatchers we explore the lakes environs on foot. Rare birds, normally too shy to be seen, preen themselves right in front of your camera. The astounding geology is like an open book on earth history!

Skogarfoss/Ragnar Th. Sigurdsson
The invigorating climate, surreal colouring and pollution-free environment make this an unforgettable holiday. Geologically unique, Iceland is a place of spectacular scenery, with volcanic fires suddenly unleashed from beneath great glaciers. We stay at friendly guesthouses, summer hotels and on farms.
Godafoss, Gullfoss & Geysir At Godafoss and Gullfoss are two of Icelands most famous waterfalls. Majestic Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, plunges into a 50m deep gorge. Well stop to see the Great Geysir, the worlds largest gusher. Its eruptions have been unpredictable of late, but nearby Strokkur spouts at regular 5-10 minute intervals.
