Dalmatian Island Cruise
8 DAYS OLDTIMER RELAXING CRUISE IN THE ADRIATIC ARCHIPELAGO
Ref DC
The stunning Dalmatian Coast
JFMAMJJASOND JFMA
With over a thousand islands, the Croatian Adriatic has some of the best cruising in the Mediterranean. We'll explore several contrasting Dalmatian Islands in a chartered and traditional 'Oldtimer' motor cruiser. Unwind as we swim and snorkel in azure seas off deserted isles, ramble pine-forested trails, savour the taste of fresh seafood and sip the excellent local wines.
Hvar, Scedro & Korcula From Trogir we cruise through turquoise waters to Hvar an island rich in laurel, palms, rosemary and oleander. We could head inland to sample rural island life or just amble to the Citadel or Dominican Monastery. Then, cruising via the tiny island of Scedro we make our way to Korcula, where we spend time exploring its marvellous medieval Old Town, one of the best preserved and most atmospheric in the Adriatic. Lakes of Mljet Next we sail to the peaceful, pine-wooded bays of Mljet island. Covered in rich Mediterranean vegetation, flora and fauna, the island is now protected as a national park. If you feel active, a walk or cycle through the forest to the 'Great Lake' is well worthwhile, alternatively sit back and relax on board. Vis Island & Blue Cave Cruising to Vela Luka we can make walks on
shore or swim before heading to the island of Vis where we can use bicycles to explore the nearby Greek and Roman ruins. Weather permitting we can also board dinghies to explore the deep blue waters of the 'Blue Cave'. Finally we our last night is spent in Split where we are spoilt for choice with numerous restaurants
