In the evenings, after taking care of the dogs, we can relax in our heated camps and enjoy delicious local specialities such as caribou (reindeer) stew and maple syrup pancakes, all prepared by our guides. Quebec City & Icehotel At the end of our 4-day safari, we head to Quebec City, beautifully located on the banks of the St Lawrence, this historic town positively comes alive in the winter months. Here we have a free day to try some alternative winter activities such as snowmobiling or skiing as well as the chance to take a guided tour around the world famous Icehotel.

Crossing Canada by train is a long held ambition for many and the varied highlights of this magnificent country do not disappoint. From the European feeling city of Montreal we journey west, pausing in Toronto where you can visit Niagara Falls, to the Rockies where we walk on glaciers and go wildlife spotting in the national parks, finally arriving at the beautifully located city of Vancouver on Canadas Pacific coast.

the lakelands of North Ontario before emerging onto the vast prairies that stretch to the Rockies. Rocky Mountains Rising like a tidal wave from the prairies below, the Rocky Mountains offer some of the best preserved natural wilderness anywhere in North America. Exploring Jasper and Banff National Parks with our guide, we discover a landscape of green forested mountains, sparkling emerald lakes and creaking blue glaciers. The Pacific Coast Travelling on board the Rocky Mountaineer is an unforgettable experience. Built over one hundred years ago to join east and west Canada it is a breathtaking ride over 2 days through spiral tunnels, along tumultuous rivers, past glacier fed lakes and all framed by the majestic snow-capped Rocky Mountains on either side. Arriving in Vancouver as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, it will be the perfect ending to a quite incredible journey.
Feel the exhilaration of speeding across the snow as you pilot your own sledge pulled by Siberian huskies through the stunning winter wilderness of Quebec. A tour for those seeking adventure and new experiences in a picturesque landscape of snow-laden forests, frozen lakes and icy rivers.
Art of Mushing From the colourful town of Montreal, we head out to the Charlevoix region of Eastern Quebec to begin our husky adventure. An area renowned for its splendid forest covered mountains, frozen lakes and waterways, all brushed with a generous covering of deep, white snow. In the hands of our expert guides, we will quickly master the techniques required to guide our dog teams through this pristine wilderness. Dog Sledding Safari Travelling on average about 30 kilometres per day, we make occasional stops to clip on our snowshoes and explore hidden spots that are Quebec winter skyline

The wilderness camps are simple but warm and may be either cabins or prospector tents depending on our final route. Full instruction is provided, so no previous experience is necessary. A good level of fitness is required and a willingness to participate in all aspects of husky care is essential. We also take in the highlights of winter Montreal and Quebec City.
