We stop at Kompong Cham for a chance to explore by bicycles, then drive on to Kompong Thom passing many remote villages along the way. We also visit the ancient Chenla capital of Sambor Prei Kuk: over a hundred temples dedicated to Shiva lie hidden in the jungle, at this tranquil and rarely visited 7th century site. Fabled Temples of Angkor Our tour would not be complete without a visit to the breathtaking temples of the Angkorian Kings. Constructed over a period of some 600 years, hundreds are scattered through a vast area of the Cambodian jungle. Our exploration includes the main highlights Angkor Wat, Ta Phrom and Angkor Thom, as well as a number of lesser known and newly opened ones, such as Banteay Srei.

Jungle Temple Safari One of the highlights of the tour is our unique 'temple safari'. Travelling by four-wheel drive vehicles we journey deep into the jungle. Beng Mealea is a little visited yet vast overgrown temple, the perfect setting for an Indiana Jones style adventure. Koh Ker sees even fewer visitors signs along our approach warn of the danger of land mines off the trail! We aim to climb its imposing central pyramid for amazing views of the wilderness beyond. A night under canvas provides the perfect opportunity for star gazing and listening to the sounds of the jungle. Hanuman Alaya guesthouse, Siem Reap
