Always remember to apply insect repellents regularly to your skin, day and night if mosquitoes are around. Always wash your hands before eating, consider taking an alcohol hand sanitizer with you. Drink more water than you would normally, especially in the tropics, and ensure it is boiled, filtered or bottled. Remember to apply sunscreen regularly, especially after swimming, and stay out of the midday sun. Always remember, when dealing with food, if you can't cook it, boil it or peel it then forget it! Always make sure all cooked food is piping hot before eating it.
