The lakes and wildlife reserves of the Great Rift Valley provide the ultimate in African gameviewing. Our suggested itinerary below uses some of the finest accommodation in some of the best reserves in Africa and is rounded off with beach time on exotic Mombasa Island.

Mara Intrepids Club - Maasai Mara
A luxurious 'Out of Africa' style, tented camp on the banks of the Talek river. It lies in the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, within the famous wildebeest migration corridor. All 30 luxury tents are arranged under the shade of trees where breakfast is served al fresco. Day-time and night-time game viewing available (using infra-red goggles).
Facilities: Swimming pool. Modern bathrooms with hot water showers. African style dining area with candle-lit dinners.
Samburu Intrepids Club - Samburu
Situated on the banks of the Eyaso Nyiro River in the western sector of the Samburu Reserve, it looks out over riverbanks where herds of Elephant, Cape Buffalo and Zebra come to drink. A luxury tented camp which recreates a classical safari atmosphere. All 27 tents are raised off the ground on stilts with private verandas, furnished with four poster beds, fans and electricity.
Facilities: The Adventurers Club offers an educational safari for children of all ages with a Samburu guide. Swimming pool. Thatched dining, bar and lounge areas overlook the river. Nightly talks and slide shows. Game drives, camel safaris, raft trips and bird walks.
