holidays School holidays The need to plan ahead for holidays suddenly comes into sharp focus when your children start school and you find out that the only dates you can travel overseas are the same as everyone elses. Many people leave it until the last minute and are surprised to find that these days prices usually go up the closer you get to departure We strongly recommend that you book around three to six months ahead of your intended departure date (more for Christmas) to make sure you can travel on the holiday you want at the price you want. To help you do this, weve listed the dates of this years school holidays below, given a guideline as to when to book and suggested a few destinations to go at that time of the year: When is it? Around half of the UKs schools break up on Fri 15 Feb 2008. Half on Fri 08 Feb 2008. When should I book? October/November. A few recommendations: Egypt, Southern Morocco, South Africa, Namibia, Finland, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Costa Rica& New! Post-exam Rejuvenation holidays Families Worldwide has come up with an innovative idea to help teenagers de-stress after their summer exams. We have set up a series of special holidays departing in early July ideal for families who have just weathered the strains of sitting GCSEs or ASs. These holidays are designed to provide some relaxation, physical stimulation and mental diversion from the tunnel vision that revising and sitting the British exam system can all too easily induce. Conscious of the growing number of families going through exam stress at home, we consulted with educationalists on the design of these holidays and have planned timely trips involving activities where there are no right or wrong answers, as well as relaxation. This can help to re-build confidence. And a break that discovers a different culture can stimulate lateral thinking and allow teenagers to understand that life is as much about the journey as the end result. And the great thing is that by travelling in early July, youll beat the summer rush and summer prices. Post-Exam trips are available in Bulgaria.
