Stay in a remote mountain 'riad' Visit villages of the friendly Berber tribe You'll start and end in the quaint walled city of Taroudant, where there's a great bazaar and fascinating history waiting to be discovered. Then head into the unspoilt villages of the Western Atlas for a few delightful days of walking beneath high peaks, amongst walnut, banana and olive groves. The area is seldom visited by tourists and life just seems to have stood still for centuries. A very popular trip for families seeking something different.
