Egypt - Red Sea
Egypt - Red Sea
With world-class diving, an incredible history and golden beaches, we can't decide what Egypt is most famous for. There's nowhere else you can cruise down the Nile, dive in the Red Sea, visit the Pyramids and spend hours lazing on the sand. When it comes to afterdark fun, Egypt's more about shisha pipes and people-watching than hot nights and thumping nightclubs.

Sharm El Sheikh All golden beaches and aquamarine waters, Sharm El Sheikh is a top sun-soaked spot on the Red Sea Riviera. From Naqb Bay's flat sands to Sharks Bay's cosy coves, there are tons of places to pull up a lounger or go wild on watersports. And with some of the world's best dive sites just a boat ride away, both beginners and experts can dip deep into the Riviera's underworld. Plus, come nightfall, Na'ama Bay is a real hotspot. We're talking glitzy casinos, funky bars and cushion-filled coffee houses decked out with shisha pipes. Marsa Alam Marsa Alam's one of those places that's all about taking it easy. The clear waters of its coastline are just right for exploring the colourful coral reefs and tropical fish, while on dry land you're unlikely to crave anything more than simply flopping down on the powdery sands. That said, if you're feeling adventurous, why not try a jeep safari? Taba Taba's a beach resort, plain and simple, with swanky hotels stretching for miles along the golden sands. On a good day, you'll even get views across to Israel, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, so keep the camera at the ready particularly in the evenings. And because the beach forms the hub of everyday life, it almost goes without saying you've got loads of watersports to have a go at - including
snorkelling and diving which are especially good in this neck of the woods. Hurghada When it comes to letting your hair down, you can enjoy one of Egypt's hottest nightspots and a taste of `home' at Hurghada's Ministry of Sound. The beach resort has come a long way from its early days as a popular dive spot among die-hard seasalt lovers. These days there are flashy nightclubs, cruisey restaurants like the Hard Rock Café and chillout shisha cafés. And, if all this is too much, you can just soak up the atmosphere of your hotel's lounge area.
