Palais des Papes is one of Europes most striking medieval buildings, particularly at night, when it is stunningly illuminated. For a panoramic view, head for the hilltop Rocher des Doms park, from which you can see the famous Pont dAvignon. HOTEL PaLais DEs PaPEs  Situated in the very heart of the city, this historic building is set on the corner across the square from the Palais des Papes. Now under the ownership of the 4th generation of the same family, the hotel has been extensively renovated. The hotel has its own restaurant in addition to a more public brasserie with terrace. All 27 rooms are traditionally decorated in some style and have a bath or shower, telephone and TV. Triple room reduction in Mid season & High season: £7 HOTEL CLOiTrE sainT LOUis  Originally a 15th century cloister, a Jesuit theology school and a military hospital was refurbished as a minimalist, high class hotel in 1991. The stone cloisters now house the restaurant (closed some weekends) in addition to a bar, sitting room and roof top solarium with swimming pool. In a tranquil location within the walls the 80 air-conditioned rooms have contemporary furniture, some are in a very modern wing, others overlook the garden or the Cloister courtyard. Bathrooms have hairdryers and rooms are with telephone, satellite TV, minibar and personal safe. American buffet breakfast. One child under 12 stays free if sharing with parents or 50% reduction on accommodation for 2 children under 16 in a separate room. Triple room reduction: £14. High season supplements 20-23 Mar: £24 and 3  31 Jul: £44. This hotel has an ideal location inside the city walls, close to the ramparts and the city centre. It has a superb patio garden which provides an oasis of peace and quiet. Most of the 30 rooms have a garden view and are equipped with bath or shower and WC, telephone, alarm and TV. Buffet breakfast is included. The hotel has no lift. One child under 12 stays free if sharing with parents.
