Location: In the centre of Niagara on the Lake. Description: Built in 1864, it is in the heart of the historic Niagara-on-the-Lake village, and embodies the elegance and refinement of an earlier age, with delicately coloured brocades and tapestries, marble and ceramics. It has a spa inspired by an English Country Garden as well as a couple of dining options. Accommodation: A selection of lovely rooms and suites all with either a King, Queen or 2 Double beds, bathrobes, coffeemaker and CD player. Why we like it: Quality accommodation and good food in peaceful surroundings. An essential part of any summer trip to Niagara. The 30 minute ride takes you past the American Falls and close to the bottom of the mighty Canadian Falls. Price: £8 per adult £5 per child aged 6 -12.
