Getting around Frontier Canada
Motorhomes
For even greater flexibility on the road, motorhomes are the ideal way to travel throughout Canada; there are a wide variety of attractive, well equipped campsites and you can plan your own routes and travel as you please. There are many vehicle types to choose from and pick-up points are available in all the major cities. See pages 6-9 for full details.
Ferries
In some parts of the country, the only way to get from A to B is by ferry, but its ok, we can help you with this too! Some of the trips do need to be booked in advance and early booking is particularly recommended on the fabulous Inside Passage route between Port Hardy and Prince Rupert and further on to Alaska. More details are available on pages 25.
Sea Planes
One of the most fun ways to get around incorporates land, sea and air - access to some resorts and some excursions are undertaken by seaplane. Landing on water is as smooth as silk and your trip aboard these great little planes can often be the highlight of your trip ask us for details of the best of the best!
Trains
The journey across Canada by train is possibly one of the most talked about train journeys in the world and even if you do not have the time or inclination to travel coast to coast, the train is a wonderful way of seeing large parts of the country at your leisure. Choose from the remarkable Rocky Mountaineer, the Whistler Mountaineer or the comfort of the Canadian for details on these and many more, see pages 10-17. With the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Atlantic to the east, with a huge amount of lakes and rivers in-between, using the water to get around is a way of life for most Canadians and it makes for a great holiday too! We have a selection of cruises in all shapes and sizes, in the East and West to offer you, all of which can be linked with land arrangements found elsewhere in the brochure.
