Here at Frontier Canada, we pride ourselves on our unrivalled knowledge of Canada: we have driven the roads, stayed in the hotels, checked out the motorhomes and we have had fun planning the different itineraries and holiday ideas that are in the brochure; however, it would take all the trees in Canada to show you everything this wonderful country has to offer and so although the main places you will want to explore are here, there is much, much more information on the web at www.frontier-canada.co.uk. We promise that there will be no dismembered voice asking you to press button 1, 2, 3 or 4 but a live person who has been to Canada and will be able to give you first hand knowledge of virtually every place in the brochure (and quite a lot that are not!).
We invite you to explore this vast country stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the 49th parallel to the Arctic circle. Canada is full of surprises; not just the moose, mounties and mountains of the photographs, but vibrant cities, multicultural people, activities ranging from wild white water rafting to a gentle lakeside stroll, great chances to see wonderful wildlife, plus amazing open roads, comfortable hotels, ranches and inns. As Canada is so big, we have divided it into regions to try and make planning easier; these can of course, be combined but usually by flight rather than vehicle due to the huge distances. There are many ways to enjoy Canada and neighbouring Alaska. With Frontier Canada, you can choose your way! Mix and match rail, air, escorted tour and self-drive; our tailor made service will make sure your holiday is as you want it! Flights
Frontier Canada can arrange scheduled flights with Air Canada and British Airways as well as many of the low cost carriers such as Zoom, Air Transat and Globespan. Prices vary enormously; the cheapest on most carriers have to be paid for at time of booking and carry stringent cancellation and curtailment charges. We will advise you of the best fares available to you when you contact us.
Escorted Tours & No-driving' Holidays
We have joined forces with APT Tours for some excellent escorted tours for which there is a separate brochure. Please ask us for a copy if you are interested. We also work with Brewster Tours and Rocky Mountaineer Holidays both of whom have a wide selection of shorter holidays. Some are listed in the brochure; more are on the web and still more in the office. Please telephone 020 8776 8709 for details. If you don't like group tours, we can still organise a great holiday combining many of the modules in the brochure with flights, chauffeur driven cars and transfers.
Self-drive Holidays
Perhaps the best way to see Canada as it gives you the freedom to go where you want when you want. The roads are delightfully empty, traffic jams outside the city are usually bear jams' caused by tourists stopping to look at wildlife and even though you are driving on the wrong side of the road driving is a real pleasure. Having consulted with you, we will suggest an appropriate itinerary to suit your requirements. We have put some itineraries in the brochure which we consider offer the best routes available, but these can be modified to suit you, or we will create one especially for you. Your accommodation will be reserved and we will provide you with full driving instructions, maps and some information on the places and hotels visited. A motorhome is a great way to go and of course gives you complete freedom of the road. We will provide maps, camp ground guides (when available) and again can advise on routes.
Cruises & River Journeys
We can offer you a vast range of cruises, both the ever popular Alaska Cruises with a choice of big, medium size and small ships and boats plus some river cruising on the St. Lawrence and the Columbia River in the US as well as a cruise on the Great Lakes and along the Eastern Seaboard. Some are in the brochure but we have more in the office and on the web. We are a UK representative for Cruise West, the leader in small ship cruising with a wonderful range of cruises around Canada, the US and the Pacific islands.
