Escorted Tours & Independent Non-Driving Holidays
As ever with Frontier, there are choices to be made. You know you don't want to drive but how independent do you want to be?
1. Totally independent. I want to travel by train, scheduled bus or private driver choosing when and how I want to travel.
Choose one of the independent itineraries on the following pages, but you will probably need to discuss with us your exact requirements.
2. I would like a little guidance. I want the comfort of knowing what I am doing and when, I like to have an informed guide and I like the freedom of choice of when and where to eat and what I want to see
Brewster and Rocky Mountain Railtours are tailor-made for you. Brewster has been operating since 1892; their clever system is designed to offer flexible independent coach and rail vacations in Canada. All tours include a well-informed driver guide, must-see attractions, activities and hotels. Due to the very frequent departures, it is usually possible to add or subtract a day here and there on the itinerary. You will not have the same driver or travelling companions each day of the tour due to the jigsaw nature of the holidays. We have included 2 holidays here but there are 37 more to choose from! Rocky Mountaineer have a similar ethos to Brewster except that all their tours use the Rocky Mountaineer for at least one segment of the journey. Both tours combine well with an Alaskan cruise of your choice.
3. I like to be looked after throughout my holiday with no worries about how I am going to get from A to B.
APT have been operating holidays for over 80 years, so they know a thing or two too! They also offer a huge range of tours, but whichever you choose, your price will include a full time Tour Director, all sightseeing, accommodation, meals as specified in the itineraries, entrance fees, and transfers where applicable, complete luggage service and even hotel and restaurant tipping. Solo Travellers. If you are travelling alone and are happy to share a room with another person of the same gender, there's no need to pay a single supplement. We guarantee to find you a person with whom to share, or we'll give you a single room on selected tours at no extra cost!
Independent Holidays
We have not priced these holidays due to the tailor-made nature of them. We hope that the brochure has given you lots of ideas and we can combine many of them without the use of a car; please contact us to let us know what you would like to do. We have just put a few outline itineraries here to give you an idea of the possibilities.
Rocky Highlights
* Take advantage of the new direct flight to Edmonton. Overnight either downtown or at West Edmonton Mall. * Take the Via train to Jasper * Sightseeing tour via the Icefield Parkway to Banff * Transfer by bus to Calgary for your homeward flight
Mountains to Ocean
* Fly into Calgary and transfer to Banff * Sightseeing tour via the Icefield Parkway to Jasper * Rocky Mountaineer to Whistler * Bus to Vancouver
The West Coast
* Fly into Vancouver * Fly Vancouver to Tofino * Bus Tofino to Victoria * Ferry and bus back to Vancouver Airport.
