Eastbound from Vancouver, the itinerary ventures through the Okanagan Valley, Glacier National Park, and Banff and Jasper national parks. Drive west from Jasper through the Yellowhead Pass, Wells Gray Provincial Park and Garibaldi Provincial Park before returning to Vancouver. NB. B&B are generally residential houses offering accommodation and facilities that are shared with resident family members. The exact B&B will not be notified until 45 days prior to departure, but they are all of a good standard and offer an excellent way to discover more about the places and people you are visiting. Day 1 Arrival in Vancouver Arrive Vancouver International Airport. Remainder of the day is at leisure. 2 nights in Vancouver. Day 2 Vancouver Full day in Vancouver and the surrounding area. Climb aboard a San Francisco-style trolley for a fully-commented Vancouver city tour. Sightsee at your own pace as you hopon and hop-off for any length of time at many premier attractions, parks, gardens, galleries and restaurants. Day 3 Vancouver to Penticton (395 km) Collect you car and travel through the Day 4 Penticton to Revelstoke (260 km) Morning is at leisure to enjoy the Okanagan Valley. Then drive past spectacular waterfalls, towering peaks and beautiful lakes en route to the Revelstoke area. In the park, you can take a walk on the remnants of the Dewdney Trail or the Rhododendron Flats. The town of Penticton lies at the lower end of Okanagan Lake and the lush orchards and vineyards of the Okanagan Valley. The region is also renowned for its beaches and hot, dry climate. We suggest a visit to the 560-acre Okanagan Game Farm near Penticton. Overnight in Penticton. Days 6-7 Banff National Park Entire day to tour Banf and the surrounding area. We suggest a visit to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel or Bow Falls or ride the Sulphur Mountain Gondola. You may also try river rafting or a boat tour on Lake Minnewanka. beginning in Lillooet and frequently stopped at the roadhouse that became known as 100 Mile House. The area is now known primarily for prime cattle ranching and leisure activities. 2 nights in 100 Mile House. Day 13 100 Mile House to Whistler (300 km) Overnight near Revelstoke. 108 Mile House Wells Gray Kamloops Jasper BRITISH COLUMBIA Day 5 Revelstoke To Banff (280 km) Scenic drive through Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass en route to Canada's oldest national park and the bustling resort town of Banff. 3 nights in Banff / Canmore. Whistler Banff Revelstoke Kelowna Hope Penticton Day 8 Banff to Jasper (285 km) Drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. We suggest a stop at Peyto Lake and an Ice Explorer ride on the Columbia Icefield. 2 nights in Jasper. Scenic drive south along the Cariboo Highway and Duffey Lake Road to the edge of Garibaldi Provincial Park and the popular yearround resort of Whistler. 2 nights in Whistler. Day 14 Whistler VA N C O U V E R ISLAND Vancouver USA Day 9 Jasper National Park You have a full day to relax and tour Jasper and the surrounding area. We suggest a boat cruise on Maligne Lake, exploring the depths of Maligne Canyon, a ride on the Jasper Tramway or a visit to Miette Hot Springs. Day 10 Jasper to Wells Gray (165 km) Drive through the Yellowhead Pass, beside Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, and continue south along the Thompson River to Wells Gray Provincial Park known for its wildlife and the Helmcken Falls. Overnight near the Park. Day 11 Wells Gray to 100 Mile House (140 km) Another short drive takes you through the heart of the ranching country past Bridge lake to 100 Mile House. Full day to relax and enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, sailing, windsurfing, golfing, tennis and boating, as well as shopping in Whistler Village. Day 15 Whistler to Vancouver (125 km) Another stunning drive takes you down the Sea to Sky highway, through Vancouver to the airport for your flight home.
