This excellent and easy route takes in the best of Québec allowing you to see not only the vibrant cities but some of the beauty of the provinces countryside. There are no long driving days, just some comfortable hotels, good food and splendid scenery. Day 1 Arrival in Montréal On arrival, transfer to downtown hotel where you will spend the next 2 nights exploring this cosmopolitan city. Le Cantilie Suites/Nelligan Day 2 Montréal Spend the day exploring the old port and old Montréal, as well as maybe taking in Mont Royal and mixing the old and new and visiting the many galleries, museums and cafes. Day 3 Montréal to Knowlton (135 km) Collect your car and cross to the south shores of the St Lawrence as you make your way to one of Quebec's most popular and picturesque regions for 2 nights in the town of Knowlton. Quilliams Inn Day 4 Eastern Townships The townships history of Abenaki natives, American loyalists and French Canadians has woven a fascinating heritage.
