Lac le Jeune
Location: 30 minutes outside Kamloops ½ between Calgary and Vancouver. Description: A relaxed lakeside lodge with access to canoes, fishing an ideal stopping place for a night or two. Also on site is a restaurant and bar. Accommodation: Hotel rooms and self catering cottages and cabins. Why we like it: A restful place good for all the family and couples alike.
Harrison Hotsprings Resort & Spa
Location: On the edge of the lake 1 hour from Vancouver Airport. Description: Resort hotel with lots of facilities including a superb spa, hot springs, swimming pool, 2 restaurants. Accommodation: 337 guest rooms, cottages and suites. Why we like it: In a great position on the lake.
Ainsworth Hot Springs Helmcken Falls Lodge
Location: At the entrance to Wells Gray Park. Description: Owner managed lodge offering guided horseback rides, overnight trail rides, naturalist guided hiking and canoe trips. The lodge is comfortable without being luxurious and has a restaurant and bar. Accommodation: Rooms have 2 double beds. Why we like it: In a beautiful position near Helmcken Falls, 3 times higher than Niagara. Location: In the heart of the Kootenay Rockies. Description: an older hotel in beautiful surroundings with hot springs and pools. Accommodation: Standard 2-bedded rooms. Why we like it: Location, location, location.
Glacier Resort
Location: Just outside Revelstoke. Description: A comfortable log built complex with lots of activities including the Resort offers ATV Tours, Hiking and Heli-Hiking, Bike and Canoe tours and rentals plus a complete Spa programme. Accommodation: Hotel rooms and self catering cottages. Free activities: Volleyball, badminton, horseshoe. Why we like it: Well built lodge with good facilities.
Trickle Creek Residence Inn, Kimberley
Location: In the alpine village near the golf course. Description: A modern apartment hotel with restaurant, bar, swimming pool, hot tub and fitness room and good access to hiking, mountain biking and rafting summer? Accommodation: Studios, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. Why we like it: Beautiful mountain setting
Dean on Nimpo Prestige Lakeside Resort, Nelson
Location: On the shores of the lake near town centre. Description: A comfortable modern hotel with restaurant, bar and swimming pool, hot tub and fitness centre. Accommodation: Rooms with 2 double beds, some with lakeview (supplement applies). Why we like it: Convenient location in a beautiful area.

Location: On Highway 20 between Bella Coola and Williams Lake. Description: Beautiful small hotel with a surprisingly modern outlook for such a remote spot. Accommodation: Hotel rooms and log cabins. Why we like it: A rose amongst thorns.
Fairmont Hot Springs
Location: In the Columbia Valley between Golden and Cranbrook. Description: Great family resort with superb swimming pools, hot springs, restaurant, café and many activities such as hiking, biking and golf. Accommodation: A variety of rooms in the lodge have views over the hot pools. Why we like it: Good family fun.
