Visit the Botanical gardens, the Wickaninnish Centre in the Pacific Rim National Park and walk the sensational Long Beach. whales; from June to November you are more likely to see the residents. Whale-watching
NB as with many marine excursions, all whale watch is subject to the weather. We offer a half-day Zodiac or fixed hull boat that travels to Gray whale feeding areas near Tofino, and a combination package which includes the thermal pools at Hot Springs Cove. Our excursions take you through the pristine waters of Clayoquot Sound, revealing sensational scenery, and wildlife such as whales, sea lions, seals, porpoise and whales. Hot Springs Explorer
As well as the hot springs, you may well see black bears and whales; you will certainly see lots of bird life and beautiful scenery. There is a 1 mile walk on rainforest boardwalk trail from dock to the natural sulphur hot springs for a magical soak in the 50ŚC water. Daily departure at 14.00 Duration 6½ -7 hours. NB take a snack. Sea Kayaking Day Trips
A fully-guided sea kayaking day trip takes you from Tofino harbour onto quiet waters nearby where the rainforest, beaches and tidal flats surround you. The Clayoquot Explorer takes you to Meares Island, paddling through harbour inlet and includes a walk on the 'Big Tree Trail'. You learn about rainforest ecology and local history and remember to watch for eagles and migratory birds on the mudflats at low tide. Daily April-October. Time is tide dependent. Duration 4 hours.
