Where to stay
Banff has a lively and friendly atmosphere. There is a vibrant nightlife, with a number of pubs and a couple of night clubs. There is a large selection of restaurants, with the Saltlik being a favourite and the Maple Leafe Grille coming highly recommended. The town centre has plenty of shops, galleries, a cinema, a theatre and two museums. There are regular buses servicing all attractions and the ski resorts. Most of the hotels are either located in the Banff Avenue area, on the scenic Tunnel Mountain road just above town or near the hot springs; Many are within easy walking distance of town, though buses and taxis are cheap and plentiful. Sunshine Village, between Banff and Lake Louise, at the top of the Sunshine Gondola is the only ski-in/ski-out accommodation in Banff National Park. It has been recently refurbished to a high standard. Lake Louise is a small town. If you want a hotel surrounded by stunning scenery, this is the spot for you. The lake itself, frozen in winter, is a magical sight. There are a small number of shops and restaurants and just a few hotels to choose from. Wherever you stay you are never more than 10 minutes from Lake Louise Mountain and the ski bus will take you here as well as Sunshine and Mount Norquay. If its not here... If your favourite hotel is not listed here, there is more accommodation on our website www.frontier-ski.co.uk, or telephone us on 020 8776 8709. Lake Louise Sunshine Village
