10 Days Yunnan Encounter A trip into Yunnan Province is a fascinating step back in time. It is home to many ethnic minority groups and also boasts some of Chinas most spectacular landscapes, including Tiger Leaping Gorge one of the few places left in China where you can get off the beaten track. n KunMing n lijiang n tiger leaping gorge treK n dali n bai village Day /Kunming You can arrive in Kunming at anytime on Day 1, as there are no activities planned. Days 2-3/Lijiang Lijiangs Old Town is criss-crossed by a maze of narrow streets and canals, lined by rickety wooden bridges and bustling market squares. Winding our way up and down the hillsides, we enjoy some spectacular views along the gorge. There is no hurry though, so we can take our time and stop and talk with the local villagers along the way. Days 7-8/Dali Travellers just love Dali, with its stunning mountain backdrop and the nearby spectacular Erhai Lake. Explore the cobblestone backstreets of the old city, before jumping on bikes to ride into the surrounding countryside and visit a local Bai minority village.
