A short but exciting trip capturing the mustsees of northern India. We explore bustling Delhi, the pink city of Jaipur, the magnificent Amber Fort and the wonderful Taj Mahal.

Day /Delhi Your trip starts today with your arrival into Delhi. No activities are planned but arrive early if you can, as theres plenty to see. Day 2/Agra - Taj Mahal This morning we catch the early express train to Agra, home to Indias most famous icon the majestic Taj Mahal. Emperor Shah Jahan built the monument in memory of his second wife and a visit to this amazing 17th-century marble mausoleum is a highlight of any trip to India. Our city guide will also give us an option of visiting Agra Fort. Days 3-4/Jaipur Jaipur is the vibrant capital of the state of Rajasthan. Here we visit the stunning medieval Amber Fort and there are also options to visit the Old City, the beautiful Palace of the Winds and the Johari Jewellery Bazaar. Days 5-6/Delhi We drive back to Delhi by local bus. We visit Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi, where we explore the bustling narrow lanes and discover exotic produces in the small shops and stalls. We also visit Connaught Place, the hub of the city and a good place to catch the latest Bollywood movie! Our trip ends on our final morning.

You are met and locally escorted in each city, with the guide available from morning to evening. Thursday departures run on a reverse itinerary. Days -2/Delhi Our trip starts today in Delhi a great place to start an Indian adventure. No activities are planned, so you can arrive at any time. After spending the next day in Delhi we board the overnight train to Varanasi the spiritual heart of India on the banks of the holy Ganges River. Days 3-5/Varanasi Varanasi is an important centre of literature, art and culture and is famous for its silk fabrics, perfumes and brass and copper wares. A highlight in Varanasi is an early morning boat ride on the Ganges River to witness life along the ghats. We also explore the colourful back lanes of this timeless city. On our final evening we board the overnight train to return to Delhi. Day 6/Delhi On arrival in Delhi we head to our hotel where our trip finishes.
