Days 4-5/Aswan - Abu Simbel Aswan is a friendly, laid-back town and a great place to sit and watch the world go by. While here we visit the superb temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, and explore the rambling Nubian bazaar that snakes through the back streets. On one evening our sailors take us by boat to their village for dinner and a great night of fun and dancing. Days 6-8/Felucca Cruise Boarding our feluccas we set sail, travelling with the current towards Edfu where we visit the Temple of Horus. Gliding along the dark waters of the Nile is a magical experience and theres ample time to relax and read. Along the way we also stop to visit the beautiful ruined temple at Komombo. Day 9/Edfu - Luxor Reaching Edfu, we say farewell to our Nubian friends. Theres time to explore this interesting little town before travelling into Luxor. The afternoon is at leisure. Day 10/Luxor - Valley of the Kings We rise early to cross the Nile where our donkeys are waiting to take us into the Valley of the Kings. The trek is great fun and one of the highlights of our visit to Egypt. The afternoon is free to explore the bazaar. Days 11-12/Red Sea The Red Sea coast is renowned for its incredible turquoise waters and splendid coral reefs. Driving up from Luxor, we have two full days to relax by the sea or we can head out to the reefs for a day of snorkelling. Day 13/Red Sea - Cairo The day is free for further recreation or relaxation before we head back to Cairo, arriving in the evening. Day 14/Cairo Our trip ends today after breakfast. Day 1/Cairo Our trip starts today in Cairo. No activities are planned so you may arrive at any time. Days 2-3/Cairo - Pyramids - Sphinx Cairo is a vibrant city and with time to explore on your own you may want to check out the fabulous Khan el Khalili bazaar an incredible maze of tiny streets and alleyways. We enjoy a guided tour of the pyramids, towering above the Western Desert, and we visit the nearby Sphinx with its fascinating Valley Temple. On the evening of Day 3 we take the night train to Aswan.

Day 2/Cairo - Pyramids - Sphinx Cairo is the mother of all cities. This morning we head out to the edge of the city for a guided tour of the pyramids, the Sphinx and the superb Valley Temple. In the evening we take the night train to Aswan. Days 3-4/Aswan - Abu Simbel Aswan is one of our favourite cities, with a strong Nubian influence. We visit the amazing temple complex at Abu Simbel and have time to explore the vibrant Nubian bazaar. We also spend an evening with the friendly local sailors enjoying dinner, music and dancing. Days 5-7/Felucca Cruise Transferring to our feluccas, we begin sailing towards Edfu where we visit the Temple of Horus. The sailing is very peaceful and we have plenty of time to read, chat and chill. Along the way we stop to explore the magical ruined Temple of Sobek at Komombo. Days 8-9/Edfu - Luxor - Valley of the Kings We reach Edfu where we visit the bazaar before driving into Luxor. The next morning we cross the river and ride donkeys into the Valley of the Kings a true Indiana Jones experience! The rest of our time is free to explore. On our second evening we take the night train back to Cairo. Days 10-11/Cairo We arrive in Cairo in the morning and have a full day to check out the scenery and shopping. Many will want to head off to the fabulous Khan el Khalili bazaar Cairos Aladdins Cave. Our trip ends the following morning after breakfast.

Experience the best of the Nile Valley on this great little trip! We soak up the sights and sounds of Cairo, visit Abu Simbel and enjoy a magical sailboat journey down the Nile. A final highlight is our visit to Luxor, where we ride donkeys into the Valley of the Kings.
