EGypt 12 Days Nile & Red Sea Journey incLUDEs aBU siMBEL A great trip at a relaxed pace  we sail around Aswans islands in a traditional felucca, cruise to Luxor on a riverboat, enjoy a boat trip on the Red Sea and have time to swim and relax on the beach. n aswan & The isLands n Cairo museum n The Pyramids & sPhinx n niLe riVerboaT Cruise n abu simbeL n edfu TemPLe & komombo TemPLe n karnak TemPLe n Luxor n donkey Trek & The VaLLey of The kings n hurghada n The red sea Day 1/Cairo Our trip starts today in Cairo. No activities are planned so you may arrive at any time. Days 2-3/Cairo - Pyramids - Sphinx Cairo is a chaotic mix of old and new, rich and poor. Theres a lot to see and do and you have ample time to explore on your own. Dont miss the fabulous Khan el Khalili bazaar! While here we enjoy a guided visits to the outstanding Egyptian Museum, the pyramids, Sphinx and the fascinating Valley Temple. At the end of Day 3 we board the night train to Aswan. Day 4/Aswan Aswan is a friendly, welcoming city with a distinctly laid-back atmosphere. The morning you are free to explore the Nubian bazaar that snakes through the back streets, and mid-afternoon we drift lazily around the islands in a traditional felucca sailboat. Days 5-7/Nile Cruise We depart early for our visit to Abu Simbel, returning around midday to board our Nile riverboat. We travel north towards Luxor, visiting the Temple of Sobek at Komombo and the Temple of Horus at Edfu. The sunsets are superb and we have ample time to relax and enjoy our surroundings. One evening, after dinner, we enjoy a fun theme night. In Luxor we take the local ferry across the Nile and then ride donkeys into the Valley of the Kings. We enjoy great views of the Nile and in the afternoon we visit Karnak Temple. Day 8/Luxor We have a free day to explore further, relax or check out the extensive bazaar. Days 9-10/Red Sea Leaving the Nile Valley behind us we travel to the Red Sea coast for two days of relaxation. Theres time to laze on the beach and we spend a day on a local fishing boat, swimming and snorkelling in the warm waters, exploring the nearby reefs and tucking in to a great seafood lunch! Days 11-12/Red Sea - Cairo Around midday we drive back to Cairo, arriving in the late afternoon, and our trip ends the following morning after breakfast. trip info Prices: See inside cover.
