14 Days
Days 7-8/Todra Gorge - Dades Valley - Ait Benhaddou Leaving the beautiful desert behind, we head to Todra Gorge. Mud brick kasbahs, unbelievably green palm groves and fields, and deep colourful gorges make this area truly spectacular. We enjoy leisurely scenic walks in both Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley, and have an afternoon to discover Moroccos most famous kasbah at Ait Benhaddou. Day 9/High Atlas - Marrakech We visit the legendary citadel at Telouet and then drive across the celebrated Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m), with spectacular views, and arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Day 10/Marrakech We spend several hours exploring the old city, with the Atlas Mountains rising in the distance. In the evening we visit Jemaa el Fna a huge open-air square where we watch fire-eaters and snake-charmers and can enjoy dinner al fresco. Days 11-12/Essaouira We travel to the laid-back coastal town of Essaouira (meaning little picture) where you have two days to relax and explore. Known for its quaint whitewashed houses, theres a lot to see and do.
