The Wey Navigation was opened in 1653 and was one of the first canalised rivers in the country.Today this 20mile stretch of water from Godalming in the south to Weybridge where it meets the River Thames, and its 16 picturesque locks, are owned and cared for by the National Trust. There are attractive free moorings along the River Wey allowing you to explore local villages and Things to do& places to see& Hampton Court Palace  promises a magical journey back through 500 years of history. Family trails and the famous Maze. Thorpe Park  great rides for all the family as well as lake and farm area. Runnymede Park  a relaxing riverside park giving access to local countryside walks. The park is opposite Runnymede Meadow and the memorials commemorating the sealing of the Magna Carta, John F. Kennedy and the Commonwealth Air Forces.
