Kilchurn Castle was historically a Campbell stronghold for 400 years and then became a government stronghold in Jacobean times. At its peak the Castle was a fortress and a very grand home. Recently, a 30lb British Record Brown Trout was landed within sight of the Castle. Leith harbour in Edinburgh is flourishing.The surviving warehouses are now being restored and now you can look forward to a right royal day out when visiting the The Royal Yacht Britannia in her permanent dock there.
