These beautifully renovated cottages, one of which is featured here, are situated in the pleasant seaside village of Ste. Honorine-des-Pertes and are just a short walk down to the village beach with waterfall and local mussels.
Nearby are the famous Omaha D-Day landing beaches of June 1944, which nowadays are a popular family holiday resort with miles of sand and sea bathing. There is a first class golf course and restaurant near to the pretty fishing port of Port-en-Bessin 3km east, where there is also a traditional market offering locally caught seafood. The lovely town of Bayeux is 10 minutes drive south, with its illustrious ancient tapestry, modern shops and beautiful cathedral, while the city of Caen at Normandy's centre is half an hour by car.
