Out in the country in the vineyards, yet just a couple of minutes drive from Vaison-la-Romaine, this is a former wine grower's house with an independent 'cabanon' to one side. It is quietly set behind electric entrance gates in a small, but very pretty front garden, with a swimming pool landscaped.
Down a quiet lane, the nearest being that of the owners, the main house is on several levels with a rather unusual interior layout. One can enter either through the glassed-in verandah to the sitting room, or at the far end of the house via the ground floor bedroom. Venasque is a stunning hilltop village, perched high on a rocky crag at the edge of the Vaucluse plateau, well known for its 6th-century Baptistery. The properties on this residential edge of Venasque area all set in large private grounds.
