This pretty little garden apartment has a private, covered terrace and its own small lawned garden.
Part of a restored property with 18th century origins, it is just 1.5 km from the small country village of Cerbaia. Its proximity to Florence (a 20 minute bus ride from the village) makes it an excellent choice. The Italian owners live in the other half of the property, but have their own access and garden area. Just 25 minutes from Florence this wonderful ancient villa in an unspoilt setting, is steeped in history. It was built as a monastery in the 13th century and is set in a 500 hectare estate.
Today, it opens its rooms and apartments to visitors, with its grand past reflected in the public rooms on the ground floor. Three of the apartments are featured here, and they all have their own unique character. One is part of a small independent cottage which was once the gatehouse to the villa. Another is spacious and characterful, and leads out onto the ancient cloisters that form the heart of the old monastery. The third one is a large, comfortable, ground floor apartment ideal for a couple.
