This traditional trullo is located close to a small hamlet and near to the whitewashed hilltop town of Locorotondo, famous for its white wine production and barrel-vaulted houses.
This trullo has a traditional grey conical roof, and each of the three ground floor properties - which make up the trullo - enjoy modern, country furnishings and a fitted corner kitchen. There is a shared, above ground swimming pool, and Trullo Terrazza (IP009) has its own private terrace area, ideal for al fresco meals or just relaxing. Each property makes a great base for discovering this very interesting part of southern Italy. As well exploring rural Valle d'Itria, with its patchwork of fields and olive and fruit trees, the charming town of Locrotondo has some excellent restaurants offering traditional Puglian cuisine. Nearby Alberobello is full of trullo houses, and Martina Franca boasts baroque architecture and a summer antiques fair. The flat, sandy beaches along the Adriatic and Ionian coasts are also within easy reach for a pleasant day out. Hand painted pottery and country kitchenware is produced at Grottaglie, close to the Ionian Coast to the south.
