This splendid villa is situated right in the north-eastern corner of Sicily, close to the picturesque Lake Ganzirri north of Messina. Turn of the century Liberty décor is the theme here - accentuated in the large elegant, conservatory-like lounge with high bow, glass windows leading out to the swimming pool and terraces, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. Cool marble floors, gilded mirrors, view paintings and antique furnishings, including a 19th-century fireplace, fill the good-sized lounges, dining room and bedrooms. The terraces include two large garden dining tables, and secluded seating areas which are fringed by a lush Mediterranean garden. All around the property's grounds, natural shade is provided by oleander, hibiscus, fig, gum, lemon and olive trees. A discreet custodian maintains the garden and pool but does not impinge on guest's privacy. Some traffic noise can be heard from the main road. A variety of restaurants are a short stroll from the villa and can also be found between the lake and the sea at nearby Ganzirri, which has sandy beaches, bars and a vibrant local nightlife during summer months.
